The Structural-Systematic Research Program in
Philosophy
The structural-systematic research program in philosophy
(SSRPP) aims to revive systematic philosophy, in the
specific form of the structural-systematic philosophy (SSP), as essential to
the theoretical and indeed scientific endeavor.
For an introduction to the SSRPP, see Toward a Philosophical Theory of Everything (Alan White, in
progress). The SSP is first
presented, extensively although far from completely, in the following books: Struktur und Sein (Lorenz B. Puntel; Mohr Siebeck, 2006) Structure and Being (Lorenz B. Puntel, translated by and in
collaboration with Alan White; Penn State Press, 2008) Estrutura e Ser (Lorenz B. Puntel, translated by
N. Schneider;Editora Unisinos,
2008) The SSP's comprehensive systematics,
introduced in the three books listed above, is extended in the following
books: Sein
und Gott (Lorenz B. Puntel; Mohr Siebeck, 2010) Being and God (Lorenz B. Puntel, translated by and in collaboration
with Alan White; Northwestern UP, 2011)
Structure and Being received the Findlay Book Prize at the meetings
of the Metaphysical Society of America at Emory University in March 2011.
This prize is awarded every four years, recognizing what the MSA's selection
committee deems the most important contribution to metaphysics appearing in
English in the preceding five years.
